The visit of one of the most beautiful rococo gardens in Germany is a perfect extension to your Würzburg program. The 45-minutes-boat trip from the Würzburg downstream offers you new perspectives with the famous vineyards of Würzburg Stein as well as the abbeys Himmelspforten and Oberzell along the way (a ride with your own bus is also possible). The stroll through the garden in Veitshöchheim, the summer residence of the Würzburg prince-bishops, will bring you close to the rich and charming art of rococo. Stroll around hedges, mazes, and alleys towards tea houses, grottos and the lake with the parnass in the middle. You will also learn about Greek myths and Aesopian fables on the way. Why not accomplish your visit in one of the pleasant restaurants or coffee bars along the river banks before embarking a boat back to Würzburg?

Duration: 1,5 hours

The boats run regularly each hour from April to October. The round trip ticket costs 13 €/adult and 6,50 €/child 4-12 years. The entrance to the garden is free.
